DENOUNCING THE COMMUNIST HOLIDAY

"Liberators"

"Had I a dozen sons — each in my love alike, and none less dear than thine and my good Marcius — I had rather had eleven die nobly for their country, than one voluptuously surfeit out of action." Coriolanus

A few days ago, on April 25th, Italy celebrated a national holiday, La Liberazione d'Italia. This anniversary marks the end of fascism and the Second World War and the liberation from Nazi occupation. Many Italians of the Left rejoice, while many on the Right see it as a “communist holiday.”

The date was chosen by convention, as it was the day when the National Liberation Committee of Upper Italy (CLNAI) officially proclaimed the insurgency in a radio announcement, announcing the seizure of power by the CLNAI and the death sentence for all fascist leaders (including Benito Mussolini, who was shot three days later).

A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH

You may not have been aware of it, but April has been "Sexual Assault Awareness Month" (SAAM) in the United States. The best place for White readers to acquaint themselves with this issue is our own frontier history. The following is drawn from my recent book, Rape Hate: Sex & Violence in War & Peace
.
Interracial rape victim: Catherine German

The little bottle lay on the sand. Nearby, waves lapped softly against the beach. How long the bottle had been laying there no one knows. Whether it was the tide or a storm that placed it, we do not know that either. This much we do know: At some point, someone walking along the sand spotted the bottle and instead of breaking it or hurling it back out to sea, they stooped to pick it up. We also know that when the finder uncorked the bottle he discovered that a note was folded inside. After fishing out the note and reading the words on the paper, whoever held it must have been dumb-struck. Finally, we also know that soon after the finder read the note and recovered from his shock, word quickly spread.

Thus ended one of the most remarkable journeys ever recorded.

The little bottle's story began somewhere on the high and dry plains of northwest Texas or eastern New Mexico, hundreds of miles from where it was found. Here, at a camp of the Southern Cheyenne Indians, a ragged and frightened young white woman secretly brought out her hidden treasure—a bottle, a cork, a pencil, a piece of paper—then nervously scratched out a note, a desperate plea for help. The girl quickly folded the paper into the bottle, corked the end tightly, then tossed it into the headwaters of the Brazos River. In this arid region, the Brazos during the best of times is a mere trickle of water; at worst, it is just a sandy draw. Nevertheless, this bottle and the tiny trickle that floated it were the best, and perhaps last, hope for freedom that the young woman would know.

PODCAST 27: BALTIMORE AS INTERNAL DECOLONIZATION

Andy and Colin talk about the Baltimore Riots and the broader significance of endemic Black rioting fueled by SJW and Liberal media narratives of "police brutality." Is this merely a form of "internal decolonization" that will lead to Blacks becoming further dislocated from the economy and society, and living in the hollowed-out shells of former American cities, supported by welfare? How will society ultimately deal with its redundant underclass and the law and order challenges it presents?

THE UNITED STATES OF FATNESS

Fat Shaming vs. Fat Acceptance

by Colin Liddell

Roosh V recently made his appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, a TV doctor who got his big break on the The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oz's whole schtick is to peddle non-scientific or pseudo-scientific feel-good health Pollyannas, aimed at the kind of woman who pays undue attention to her horoscope.

For Roosh appearing on the show was a win-win, even though Oz had invited him on to reveal how "evil" he was and to signal to his audience, disproportionately made up of tubby women, how much he believed in defending their "inner beauty" (presumably kept tucked up tight somewhere between their feminist bile duct and intestinal sac of fart gas).

SHOULD WE VOTE UKIP?

Nigel Farage, drinking up the nationalist vote?

by John Bean

The British Democrats have only one Parliamentary Candidate standing at this election in this early growth period and that is Dr Jim Lewthwaite at Bradford East. Therefore we would recommend that in all other seats you could give your vote to any genuine nationalist or radical right candidate.

NAMELESS PODCAST: TOXIC FEMINISM AND POP CULTURE

In his first "Nameless" Podcast, Andy Nowicki — author of Notes Before Death — discusses the toxically self-indulgent feminism which saturates the Reese Witherspoon movie "Wild" and the Meghan Trainor pop song "Dear Future Husband."

PALE PRIESTS, DARK FIGHTERS

I’ve spilled a number of pixels already on the political dynamic that’s been at work in some of the urban riots over the last year or two. My observations aren’t particularly unique on this topic, either.

One of the interesting dynamics at work is that many of the radial leftists in print, at websites, and on TV have tended to put more hopes into these protests than the facts themselves would warrant. Characters like Matt Bruenig, the rest of the staff at Gawker, the new staff at the New Republic, some choice Atlantic columnists, and others from more radical venues like Jacobin, have all downplayed some of their more characteristic cultural and economic issues for whatever grievance at the moment is being wailed about by the urban protest machine.

AVOIDING THE FLAMES OF THE PHOENIX

In the East, like a phoenix arising from its ashes, Russia is rising once again. After the Tsarist Empire and the Soviet Republic, Russia is currently experiencing a renewal, a revival forcing us to rethink geopolitics.

For Western nationalists and identitarians, the rise of the country, led by its charismatic and unperturbed leader, Vladimir Putin, is an encouraging phenomenon. It means the end of the unipolar world managed by Uncle Sam. For us, this reshaping of the world means new possibilities, especially seeing that the Russians use a discourse opposed to the faux-human rights ideology so prevalent in the West. If America’s monopoly on power is currently being challenged, the same is true for its dominant values (democracy, secularism, individualism, etc.). Putin publicly justifies his actions with traditional values that are much closer to our own.

WOMEN ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE SOCIAL ORDER, THEY ARE JUST INTERESTED IN REINFORCING IT

Attention whore Stacey Eden.

by Dota

Stacey Eden is a young Australian woman from Sydney who recently defended a Muslim couple that were verbally accosted by a middle aged woman on a train. The woman accused Muslims in general for the atrocities of ISIS and directed her ire at the hapless couple. Stacey Eden sat there for around 10 minutes listening to the conversation before intervening on the couple’s behalf; but not before hitting the record button that captured her heroic intervention. According to the BBC: "Stacey Eden’s Facebook page got an enormous surge of interest after she posted a video of herself defending a Muslim couple"

Naturally.

WHY MEN FIGHT AND WHY WE LIKE TO WATCH

The Professor in the Cage: Why Men Fight and Why We Like to Watch
by Jonathan Gottschall
Penguin Publishing Group, Kindle Edition.
Available for download here.

Reviewed by Jack Donovan

I downloaded Jonathan Gottschall’s The Professor in the Cage: Why Men Fight and Why We Like to Watch and started reading it the morning it came out. I stopped two chapters in, because I had to head to my boxing class.

Gottschall and I aren’t the same, but we know something about each other.

When a man on the far side of thirty-five decides to learn how to fight, he’s got some reasons. He doesn’t do it because he’s already good at it, and he doesn’t do it on a whim. He’s not trying to keep his lunch money away from the school bully and it ain’t about impressing girls.

THE TROUBLE WITH GEORGE

So very, very English!

Today is St. George's Day! So break out the old red-and-white banner (the police are on their way, you racist!), thump the "three lions" badge on your chest, and burst into the rousing chorus of Jerusalem, the stirring hymn that is tipped to become the official English national anthem when the UK breaks up in a few years time.

Notice anything odd about all these icons of English identity? They are all from the Middle East or Africa.

WHITE PEOPLE ALWAYS WERE A MINORITY...SO WHAT?

The HuffPost is apparently cock-a-hoop about the fact that mass immigration and falling birthrates seem set to reduce Whites to a minority in the USA within a few decades. They also think it is a good laugh, coming out with a video entitled "So, You're About to Become a Minority." This is framed as a pretend public information film aimed at educating Whites about how to adjust to their future status. The video's message can be broken down into (a) Whites have treated minorities unfairly in the past, (b) the boot will soon be on the other foot, and (c) ha ha ha ha!

DISDAIN FOR FAT PLEBS: THE "PATRICK BATEMAN" RIGHT

"Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?"

Patrick Bateman is a now legendary anti-hero, first depicted in Bret Easton Ellis’s excruciatingly hilarious and bleakly horrifying 1990 novel American Psycho, and brought to the screen a decade later in a career-making performance by Christian Bale. Unlike Bale’s more famous later cinematic incarnation, Bateman is no “dark knight,” but rather a deeply vain, vapid, and vacuous man with a killer smile, who also happens to be a serial killer.

GAMERS ARE DEAD?

This excerpt is taken from Scott Cameron's new book Understanding #Gamergate, now available for purchase at Amazon.com

On August 28, 2014, the gaming and mainstream press officially broke their silence (on Gamergate) by simultaneously publishing 10 articles denouncing gamers. All of the articles claimed that gamers, the gaming culture, or the gaming identity were “dead.”

One of the articles, a Gamasuta piece written by Leigh Alexander titled “’Gamers’ Don’t Have to be Your Audience. ‘Gamers’ Are Over,” describes Gamergate as a group of “angry young men” reacting to a changing industry that is neglecting them. Alexander writes that young men whom gaming companies marketed their products toward in the past have matured and are either not playing games or have migrated to “more fertile spaces.” Today, (so her thinking goes) young men are but one of many consumer groups game developers tailor their product to. Hence, young men have become “angry”; hence, Gamergate.

ADOLF HITLER AS THE EMMANUEL GOLDSTEIN OF THE LIBERAL WEST

Today is the anniversary of the birth of Adolf Hitler. In his lifetime he was a remarkable and misunderstood man – Machiavellian in his seizure of power, yet surprisingly un-Machiavellian in his use of it. But it was only in death that he became something altogether more unique than just another scrambler and fumbler after the orb of power.

Posthumously he underwent the opposite of an apotheosis, and became a symbol of ultimate evil, a necessary hate figure and fetish of taboo for the post-war Liberal West. You realize this when you travel or live beyond the flubbery boundary of the Western Liberal bubble. Partly in reaction to his exaggerated status as the icon of evil in the hegemonic West, but also because of a more objective view of the man, Hitler is viewed in a much more ambivalent and tolerant way by the rest of the World.

END-TIMES BUFFOONERY

Politics and religion all too often assume odd and distorted forms in America. The United States has long been the home of a wide assortment of bizarre and eccentric sects and cults, most being harmless, or at least lacking the ability to do any serious harm outside of their immediate proximity without large-scale followings nor serious political access. But there are always exceptions, and one of the more prominent and influential ones is the highly-politicized and well-funded Dispensationalist movement, a vocal and well-represented faction among fundamentalist Protestants. Not only do Dispensationalists have a large scale following, but they also manage to wield considerable influence in Washington, especially on US foreign policy.

The relationship between fundamentalist Protestant eschatology of the Dispensationalist variety and America’s geopolitical agenda can be clearly seen in the figure of Hal Lindsey. In the early 1970’s he published a book, The Late Great Planet Earth, which proved a bestseller among fundamentalist Protestants. Scrawled during the height of the Cold War, Lindsey’s work proposed that Soviet Russia was the sinister entity known as Gog spoken about by the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel, and that it would soon invade Israel, thus bringing about Armageddon. Lindsey was not an isolated figure by any means; a film based on his book – narrated by none other than Orson Welles – was made, and his admirers included Ronald Reagan, who cited Lindsey’s teachings on Russia as Gog in a speech prior to becoming president.

EXPLOITING PEOPLE'S FEARS

The latest stand-up UK election debate (sans Cameron and Clegg)

While stand-up comedians try to "slay" the audience, stand-up politicians have a different target, namely their opponents. "Stand-up politicians," by the way, are just normal politicians coached and brought into the TV studios to participate in stand up debates against their opponents.

The dream is to achieve a knock-out blow that will be replayed over-and-over in subsequent days, by looking one's opponent in the eyes, pausing, then, when everybody is listening, dropping a bombshell on him or her; like Lloyd Bentsen's famous "You're no Jack Kennedy" line, delivered in the 1988 Vice-Presidential debate to a hapless Dan Quayle, who had been nurturing sub-Kennedyesque posturings for some time.

That moment defined Quayle's career until he had a spot of trouble with his spelling a few years later. It is also the only reason that anybody ever remembers Bentsen, who was clearly no Jack Kennedy himself.

AN EYESORE IN THE ARCHITECTURE

(The following passage is an excerpt from Andy Nowicki's latest book Notes Before Death: Three Essays, now available on Amazon.com in paperback and on Kindle.)

As has been extensively recorded elsewhere, things turned sour for me at roughly the time of my initiation into puberty. It was at this juncture that I came to recognize that my previous impression of being at ease in the world had perhaps always been mistaken. Indeed, having become self-aware, I now saw that my very presence, when I dwelt with others, seemed to have the effect of making those others uncomfortable. Increasingly, in fact, the distressing notion came over me that people would be much more at ease with one another if I weren’t around to muck up the works. My existence in itself seemed to be an inconvenience which caused them irritation and annoyance.

NEVER SAY "NEVER AGAIN"

It is not documented exactly when the monster Grendel left "his mossy home beneath the stagnant mere" to "drip his claws with mortal blood as moonbeams haunt the sky." But when he did, we can be sure that the results were rather tragic. Indeed, there may even be some truth in the rumours that "screams were his music, lightning his guide," and he may in fact have "raped the darkness, death by his side."

Likewise, closer to our own modern mythology, April 19th is the day on which, in 1943, the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto, realizing the unpleasant fate in store for them, steeled themselves for an uprising against their Nazi oppressors – with tragic results (but the results would have been tragic anyway, one assumes).

DIVERSITY THROUGH WHITE SURPREMACISM

In his latest article at Amren, Jared Taylor has reproduced the speech he delivered at the National Policy Institute conference in Washington DC on 27th February, 2015. Called White Survival: Beyond Left and Right, it presents one of the main ideas now being used to promote White Nationalism – the idea of "protecting biodiversity." In his article, Taylor, somewhat tongue-in-cheek equates the White man with the Cuban crocodile and the Kretschmarr Cave mold beetle:
"And what about conserving white people biologically? They are a small minority of the world population–7 or 8 percent–and some of them are breeding with other groups, just like the Cuban crocodile. But anyone who says maybe we should think about the long-term prospects of white people–kind of like the way we do with the Kretschmarr Cave mold beetle–is no longer a conservationist. He’s a white supremacist."
If this had been a speech given to a conference of liberal ecologists, then we could score it highly on tactical brilliance. But it was not. It was given to an NPI conference, a gathering that typically attracts a hard-core audience of White nationalists and identitarians seeking inspiring insights to fuel their continuing struggle.

BABYKILLERS AND BASTARD FACTORIES

There are a couple female life patterns that feed contemporary leftism in the West: that of the babykiller and the bastard factory. The babykiller lifestyle tends to be for more up-market women, whereas the bastard factory lifestyle is for the poorer and usually (marginally) more religious demographic.

Babykillers, we’re all familiar with, perhaps intimately so. They get their first birth control prescription when they’re maybe around 14, perhaps a little older — whenever their parents start to become nervous about what their daughter is up to. The usual euphemism is that it’ll help her control her acne.

MYOPIC PARTISANSHIP

Recalling his KGB days with a knowing smirk...

I have, in various contexts, remarked upon the tendency for alt-rightists of various stripes to fall for the propensity to needlessly align themselves with a “side” in some geopolitical struggle. Obama’s America sure ain’t groovy, so Putin’s Russia must therefore be the bee’s knees. Ukraine’s struggle for political independence is backed by George Soros and the CIA, so the legitimacy of the Kremlin-ordered invasion of the Crimea (and  apparent push, via proxy forces, to expand his dominion further inland) ought not be questioned in any way, and if you insist upon questioning it, you’re probably just an Obamabot shill who really needs to down a piping-hot cup of STFU. Bolshevism was a monstrous blight threatening the future of the Aryan race, so National Socialism had the proper duty to chop the heads off a bunch of morally sensitive college students who had the unforgivable temerity to hand out anti-government pamphlets urging passive resistance to tyranny. Dresden certainly wasn’t da bomb, so Belsen must therefore have been a gasEt cetera and so forth.

TOVE LO'S TRAGIC TUNE AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FEMININE

While a recent discovery to this writer, the Swedish singer Tove Lo obviously has a significant fanbase, one that likely extends throughout the world. The two top results on YouTube for her song, Habits (Stay High) have been viewed 107 million times, and 199 million times respectively. While certainly a compelling song, the tune's lyrical content is emblematic of the destruction of the sexes that the institutional Left has accomplished in the last century or so.

RE: SHOULD WE STILL FIGHT FOR IMMIGRATION CONTROL? ...NOPE

Over at American Renaissance, somebody has finally made an effort to rally White Nationalists to recommence fighting within the system for immigration control. Hubert Collins’ “Should We Still Fight for Immigration Control?” notes that the movement consensus has radically shifted on this subject within the last couple years, from being the one thing we all agree we should be doing to being the one thing we all agree we should stop doing. The shift is certainly abrupt, and the discussion about this shift in movement groupthink certainly deserves more debate than it’s had; but in attempting to articulate the seemingly straightforward case for our supporting immigration control, Mr. Collins ends up confirming just how weak the case for fighting for immigration control actually is.

Every single word in his question, “Should We Still Fight for Immigration Control?” is wrong.

RUSSIAN HOLIDAY

A lust for adventure.

by Ave Maria

Most Audrey Hepburn fans today are blissfully ignorant of the hidden edge in the title of Roman Holiday. When the ancient Romans wanted to take a holiday, it usually involved snacking on some peanuts at the Colosseum while watching slaves fight each other to the death or being eaten by lions. The phrase “Roman holiday,” current in the Victorian and Edwardian periods, referred to unusually cruel or scandalous entertainment; in the film, it refers to the scandal of Hepburn eloping with Gregory Peck.

We moderns have very little appreciation for the Roman sense of fun. Protestants and Marxists have preferred to take the side of the slaves. But at least on the abstract level, there is something to be gained from walking a mile in Roman sandals.

BEING A PROGRESSIVE YESTERDAY: RACE

Progressive-era labor unions were a mighty white affair

Slate ran a series a few years back, 'Liberal Creationism,' after the brouhaha over James Watson's remark that Afros were less intelligent than other groups. In this prescient piece, the author warns that many of the old 'racialist' tropes are likely to soon be proved true, and that the average progressive should mentally steel himself for it:
If this suggestion makes you angry—if you find the idea of genetic racial advantages outrageous, socially corrosive, and unthinkable—you're not the first to feel that way. Many Christians are going through a similar struggle over evolution. Their faith in human dignity rests on a literal belief in Genesis. To them, evolution isn't just another fact; it's a threat to their whole value system.

The same values—equality, hope, and brotherhood—are under scientific threat today. But this time, the threat is racial genetics, and the people struggling with it are liberals. ... You can try to reconcile evidence of racial differences with a more sophisticated understanding of equality and opportunity. Or you can fight the evidence and hope it doesn't break your faith.
The proof is at this point hard to ignore, even if thought leaders are doing their level best to conceal it. As blogger JayMan asks from atop his mountain of scientific data, How much hard evidence do you need? It is likely that in the next several years some lab finding will 'clinch' the question once and for all, pushing HBD into the mainstream as it has germ theory or heliocentrism.

ISIS AS SUNNI ARAB NATIONALISM – CONFIRMED

In my article The Uses and Abuses of Arab Nationalism I said:
“ISIS is a bastardized expression of the nationalist identity and interests of Sunni Arabs. In all its deformity, the movement is simply filling a gap that should more correctly be filled by a healthy form of Arab nationalism.”
This view is now being confirmed by the evidence coming out of Syria and Iraq. A recent article in The Independent, "How Saddam Hussein's former military officers and spies are controlling Isis," presents evidence from a number of Syrian sources, including Abu Hamza, a former Syrian rebel, and makes the case that ISIS is little more than the old Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein hiding in a Muslim hijab:

SUPER-POP FASCISM vs SUPER-BLACK POWER

The Cultural Jihad

by Alex Fontana

There has been uproar in rightist circles – with some spillover into the mainstream media – over the transfiguration of pop culture characters of White identity to minority identity. There is certainly an agenda at work here, perhaps driven by the liberal proclivities of comic book creators, many of whom were and are Jewish, an agenda that interestingly rubs up against the "pop fascism" element in comic books sagaciously identified by Jonathan Bowden.

As leftist journalist Richard Cooper put it in an article entitled Superheroes are a Bunch of Fascists:
"The main problem is force: sheer physical force, which lies at the heart of the superhero myth…
I was reminded of this by Jor-El’s speech in Man of Steel: 'You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.'
How, though? Those watching him can’t fly, topple buildings or fire heat rays from their eyes. What else does Superman do other than these purely physical feats?"
Cooper misses the point completely in two regards. First, he assumes that violence is a characteristic of fascism and fascism only. Georges Sorel’s Reflections on Violence (1908) arguably inspired more left-wing violence than right-wing, and when it did inspire right-wing violence, through Benito Mussolini, it was his fluency with leftist discourse that precipitated it.

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR RELIGIOUS WHITE PEOPLE

It didn't take long for the Liberal Left to exert its hegemonic power and destroy the feeble attempt by Indiana and Arkansas to bring in Religious Freedom Restoration Acts (RFRAs). From what I could tell, these laws were mainly designed to protect hypothetical Christian bakers from the unpleasantness of having to bake wedding cakes for hypothetical homosexual couples role-playing as married couples. But of course they were also symbolic.

Some analysts are seeing this defeat as an example of the perfidy of the GOP, others as some kind of ideological setback for a mythical ideology called Conservatism, which, if anybody took the trouble to check, they would find does not exist. Liberals, of course, are seeing it as the victory of the forces of light over the forces of darkness, because nothing screams unspeakable evil more than a couple of homosexuals not having their cake and eating it.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SUFFERING GOD

An excerpt from the essay "The Suffering God and the Culture of Death," published in volume 2, issue 2 of The Christendom Review in 2010.

What are the full ramifications of  the notion of God suffering as a man?

How to begin to describe the ramifications of this strange and moving idea (the Incarnation), which is the essence of the Christian faith? One is at a loss, because the profundity of the concept is beyond all words, and this is ironic, since it is all about a “Word” (in Greek, “Logos”) allegedly “made flesh.”

What does it say about the human race that God would consent to take human form? What does it say about human suffering that God became man in order to suffer the humiliation and grief, the mental and physical pain, the ignoble punishment of a common criminal, being flogged, stripped, and nailed to a cross to die?

Let us consider the full implications of the Incarnation in Christian theology.

NEO-REACTION AS A "LIMIT EXPERIENCE"

The New Reaction
by Rachel Haywire
Arktos Media, 66 pages
Available for purchase from Amazon here

Reviewed by Keith Preston

Rachel Haywire’s The New Reaction is a collection of fifteen relatively short writings offering amusingly iconoclastic bits of cultural criticism from the perspective of someone with a well-developed taste for pushing the limits.

With an interesting forward by Mark Dyal, this book is not a work of political philosophy, although it could reasonably be classified as a work of political psychology. Rachel Haywire is principally concerned with questions that involve perception, specifically, how people perceive themselves and others in relation to their social circumstances. Her principal aim is to dispossess of their own self-image conformist fools who fancy themselves smart and enlightened while pursuing political and cultural fads. A great deal of much deserved bile is directed towards the politically correct “progressives” who have achieved the remarkable feat of engaging in mindless conformity, while considering themselves to be some kind of avante-garde elite. Indeed, this is the central theme that runs through most of the book.
